Our Proven Process
Initial Consultation
At your initial consultation you’ll meet with your clinician to discuss your endometriosis including current symptoms, medical history, any medications you’re taking, and most importantly YOUR GOALS. We want to be certain that our program is going to meet your needs and that there is a HIGH probability of success for you – BEFORE we move forward to the next step.
Detailed Assessment & Treatment Plan
Once your initial consultation is complete, and we agree to move forward, your next step is the Intake appointment. At this appointment, your clinician will do a detailed assessment of your symptom pattern, medical history, and other factors to determine the root cause of your issue and devise a specific plan of attack.
Your first acupuncture session will be performed at this time, and a you will be given a treatment plan with exact, easy-to-follow instructions. Your treatment plan will include dietary and lifestyle adjustments as well as key supplements and herbal medicines to address the root cause of your endometriosis and address your most pressing symptoms.
Active Treatment & Symptom Resolution
You’ll return for weekly visits to ensure close support as you begin to feel the positive shifts of the therapy. We want to make sure your treatment plan is yielding the expected results:
- Less or no pain
- Normalized menstrual flow
- Level, stable mood
- Balanced hormones
- No abnormal bleeding between periods
You’ll also receive acupuncture at each visit to ensure that your progress is cumulative and your endometriosis is resolved as soon as possible.
Transitional Care As Things Stabilize
Once we see stable improvements, we will begin to reduce the frequency of visits. This usually occurs within the first 2 months. Initially you’ll come in weekly, then as your condition improves the frequency becomes less. We re-evaluate your case with you periodically and fine tune as needed until we achieve the desired results.
We’ll be here in case you ever want to come in for a tune-up or to address other health concerns.
Of course, MANY of our patients do wish to continue with “ongoing maintenance” and we are happy to work that out with you, should that be your wish.

IS ACUPUNCTURE SAFE DURING PREGNANCY?
In skilled hands, acupuncture is absolutely safe during pregnancy. We never place needles in dangerous areas that would cause damage to you or baby.
WHAT ABOUT HERBS AND SUPPLEMENTS?
We are very experienced in using herbs and supplements during pregnancy. However, your comfort level is our primary concern and we will respect your wishes should you choose not to take them.
DO YOU GIVE DIETARY RECOMMENDATIONS?
We can absolutely do this for you. For over a decade we’ve given dietary advice to many hundreds of pregnant women who have all had healthy pregnancies and healthy babies.
CAN NATURAL MEDICINE REALLY HELP MY PROBLEM?
Absolutely. Your body is capable of healing ANY problem, especially when it has the nutritional support and specialized natural therapies we offer to help it get back on track. We’ve seen this firsthand in clinic over and over.
DO YOU DO “ACUPUNCTURE LABOR INDUCTION?”
We prefer to call it “birth facilitation” because nothing we do is forceful or overly stimulating. We have successfully helped many women to give birth on time and avoid medical induction.
WHAT ABOUT TURNING BREECH BABIES?
Acupuncture is a modality which can help turn a breech presentation safely. We feel the safety of mother and baby comes first and any attempts to manually turn your baby should be done in a hospital or OB clinic setting where baby’s heart-rate can be monitored. We will work in conjunction with your OBs recommendation.
CAN ACUPUNCTURE CAUSE CONTRACTIONS?
Yes, but only if certain points are used and those points are forcefully stimulated. We avoid points known to stimulate uterine contractions so you have nothing to worry about. Again, we’ve treated over 2,000 women during pregnancy and we’ve never had a case of inducing early labor with our treatments. Ever.
